The Heart of A Cord of Three

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”

Ecclesiastes 4:12.

In the context of weddings and relationships, this verse is often interpreted to mean that:

  • Two individuals (the couple) are stronger together than alone.
  • A third strand (representing God) interwoven with the two makes the bond incredibly strong, resilient, and difficult to break. It signifies a relationship where God is a central part of the union, providing strength, guidance, and unwavering support.

After more than a decade in business, marketing, and the weddings & events industry, we felt a clear and powerful shift, God was leading us in a new direction. In February 2025, A Cord of Three: Weddings & Events was born from that calling, with a renewed vision to create meaningful, joy-filled celebrations. We can’t wait to welcome you and help craft memories that last a lifetime.

Where History Meets Heart, and Your Story Finds a Home.

When you’re planning a milestone, you don’t just want a venue—you want a place that feels like it understands what you’re celebrating. A Cord of Three was created for exactly that reason: to offer couples and families a space that honors love, legacy, and the people who matter most.

We’re housed in a restored 1888 schoolhouse in Hanoverton, Ohio—a building full of charm, character, and stories of its own. But we didn’t choose this place for its architecture alone. We chose it because it stands as a symbol of connection. It reminds us that life’s most meaningful moments deserve to be marked in spaces that feel thoughtful, timeless, and true.

We listen carefully, communicate clearly, and make it a point to support—not stress—you throughout the planning process. Whether you’re envisioning a joyful wedding weekend or an intimate vow renewal, you’ll feel both guided and free to make it your own.

And while our setting is steeped in history, our vision is future-focused. We’re here to build a legacy of love—one event, one family, one story at a time. That means investing in thoughtful improvements, serving returning clients with the same care as the first, and continually expanding the ways we show up for our community.
